On May 10, 2023, NoPixel, a widely known GTA 5 RP server, made a significant management shift due to a string of controversies in recent times.
The situation came to public attention when Koil, the departing owner of NoPixel, announced his resignation and nominated Buddha as his successor. In light of allegations and conflicts between the server’s owner and several streamers, NoPixel has chosen to replace its current owner and introduce a new one.
Buddha has assumed control over the FiveM-based Grand Theft Auto 5 Roleplaying server, NoPixel, with the aim of resolving the lingering disputes. While Koil has stepped down from their role, both Koil and NoPixel still face the challenge of addressing the unresolved controversies from the past.
What caused NoPixel to change its management of the FiveM-based GTA 5 RP server?
NoPixel’s decision to change its management of the FiveM-based GTA 5 RP server was prompted by a series of factors. These included a culmination of controversies, allegations, and conflicts that emerged between NoPixel’s owner and various streamers. These incidents led to the need for a major change in management to address the issues and ensure a smoother operation of the server.

Following those events, a significant number of players, including Penta, expressed their dissatisfaction with NoPixel’s management, accusing Koil of practicing “double standards.” They alleged that the GTA RP server was enforcing bans on individuals for irrational reasons, some of which even the management themselves did not adhere to.

In a recent announcement on their Discord server, Koil has declared their decision to step down from their managerial role at NoPixel and focus on pursuing other objectives. Koil also revealed that Buddha, whom they have deemed trustworthy, will take on the responsibilities of being the new owner of NoPixel. Regarding their future endeavors, Koil shared the following statement:
“I do not plan to leave nopixel or streaming, just focus more on things I enjoy and have it run in a way that is healthy.”
Buddha is a popular Twitch streamer with over 825K followers. They are a close friend of Koil’s as well as an important member of the Grand Theft Auto 5 RP community. The streamer is a regular player on the NoPixel server and also won the Best GTA RP Streamer category at The Streamer Awards in March 2023.
