GTA 6 expected to make $1 billion in its launch week

According to an analysis posted by Joost van Dreunen on TweakTown , GTA 6 will gross around $1 billion in its first week of release.

In this specific period, the number of copies sold must exceed 25 million, accounting for different platforms.

While that might seem like a low estimate, given that GTA V grossed $1 billion in three days, it’s critical to understand where the market was during that time.

The game arrived in September 2013, two months before the launch of Xbox One and PlayStation 4 , while Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 had a very healthy generation and had millions of units available in stores.

GTA 6 is expected to be released in the company’s next fiscal year, from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025.

GTA 6 remains a long way from release. It is expected to arrive between 2024 and 2025.

For the first time in the franchise, there will be a playable female protagonist. The woman, who is Latin, will be one of the protagonists of the story  “influenced by bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde” .

Additionally, the team is being  “very cautious”  with their jokes, as there is no intention to cross a line about marginalized groups, in contrast to previous games.

‎The single-player map, which will feature a fictional version of Miami (everything indicates that this is the classic Vice City) and its surrounding areas, will receive updates over time, adding “new missions  and cities regularly”

‎There is even the expectation of having more internal locations than any other title in the franchise, with the intention of increasing immersion.
