Goat Simulator 3 commercial uses leaked GTA 6 video and is taken down by Take-Two
The video was removed after a copyright claim, but those who managed to see it before the removal say that the ad featured a character named Shaun, who was being interviewed about working on Goat Simulator 3 and bragging about his skills in animating character physics.
However, the video took a turn when Shaun talked about the work he had done outside of Goat Simulator 3, to which he said, “I have other things in the works, other big game worlds. You can actually see me in some footage that leaked a few months ago.” This was followed by an edited clip of the leaked Grand Theft Auto 6. Take-Two clearly didn’t like this and has since deleted the video.
This was expected to happen, and it would not be surprising if the studio was also hoping for this result, just to get attention in this end-of-year period.
Take-Two Interactive takes down Goat Simulator video for allegedly using GTA 6 leaks
The official Goat Simulator account posted a video titled “meet shaun, the npc” on December 19, 2022. While the video was a promotional video sharing information about Shaun, the gaming studio used a leaked clip from GTA 6.
The video went viral, and after a few hours, it received a copyright claim, rendering it unplayable. While there is no definitive proof of who claimed the copyright, many people believe it was Take-Two Interactive.
