The long-awaited sequel to the famous game series, GTA 6, has finally been announced by Rockstar Games. However, the question on fans’ minds is whether Grand Theft Auto VI will make its debut on the last-generation consoles.
Will GTA 6 be released for PS4 (PlayStation 4) and Xbox One?
In September 2022, leaks revealed a version in development, with a video supposedly running on the PlayStation 4. However, it was later discovered that this video was actually one of the early versions of the game, long before its current stage.
Looking at the latest videos, it’s clear that they are running on hardware resembling the powerful PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles (S and X). Considering we’re almost in 2024, it’s highly unlikely that Grand Theft Auto VI will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
It’s important to note that all leaked videos portrayed a version of the game that was not yet complete, with missing content and undergoing polishing. The expectation is that the title will arrive for PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
