In an unexpected turn of events, Take Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, inadvertently let slip the possible name of the much-anticipated successor to Grand Theft Auto V. The community had been referring to the project as GTA 6 or Grand Theft Auto VI, but it seems that the official confirmation was intended for a later date.
The revelation occurred when some users on the now-defunct Twitter platform received copyright notifications related to leaked videos in September 2022, showcasing unfinished gameplay of the upcoming title in the GTA series.

Uncertainty looms over the definitive name of the game, as the copyright notices explicitly mentioned “Leaked videos, images, and source code of an unreleased GTA VI game.” This suggests that the game could be named GTA 6, GTA VI, Grand Theft Auto 6, or Grand Theft Auto VI.
However, Rockstar Games has adopted a more mysterious official stance, referring to the game simply as “The next Grand Theft Auto.”
With so much speculation about the name circulating, all that remains is to await the next moves from Rockstar Games.
The company promises to unveil more details about GTA 6, including a trailer and the official title, in early December 2023. Get ready for surprises and excitement in the gaming world!
