Check out the tweet from the fake account announcing GTA 6 below:
The tweet read “On 18.11.22, we proudly present to you the latest entry in the Grand Theft Auto series. We were waiting for a long time to reveal. #GTAVI”.
Quickly, the account was suspended from the social network, however, the curious thing is that someone actually paid $8 to scam thousands of people and fans who are eagerly waiting for GTA 6.
The tweet was also composed in a formal tone, with many words and phrases taken from Rockstar’s newsletters. All of these elements, when combined, can easily fool inattentive users.
