STRP Europe is the EU half of SpaceTurtles Roleplay, an English-language FiveM community that also runs a US server. The thing to know up front is the access model, because it is unusual in a market where most servers this size make you queue behind an application. The base server is open. No whitelist, no interview, no waiting on a Discord ticket before you can spawn in. The gates sit further in: police, EMS and Border Patrol are whitelisted factions you apply for on the community forum once you have been around long enough. Under the bonnet it runs ESX, with es_extended, esx_policejob and esx_license visible in the live resource list alongside modern ox_lib, ox_inventory and ox_target tooling. The pitch is casual rather than hardcore, and the server says so itself. That is the single most useful fact here for deciding whether to spend your evening in this city.
/ Getting in
You connect and you play. There is no out-of-character application between you and the city, which is rare at this size. The community's own onboarding still routes you through Discord first and then asks you to pick EU or NA, so discord.gg/STRP is the sensible first stop even though it is not a gate. The whitelisting applies to factions only. Police, EMS and Border Patrol are applied for on forum.spaceturtl.es. Both the EU and NA medic applications are marked open at the time of writing. The Border Patrol section exists but has no posts in it yet.
/ The badge, and the paperwork
The LEO application is the most demanding thing here, and it is documented plainly: 18 or over, four weeks on the server before you apply, then a one-hour ride-along with a sergeant or above before the interview. The format warns that AI-generated applications will be punished. EU and NA departments are merged, so rank and discipline carry across both. Internal Affairs runs on the forum with a well-used officer-reports section, and player-run businesses are applied for the same way; recent threads cover a pizza place, a diner and a BurgerShot takeover. Ban appeals and compensation requests have their own formats.
/ What you will actually do
The advertised feature list is long and largely self-reported: Roxwood, Cayo Perico, treasure hunting, gangs and turfs, heists, house robberies, a skill system, trucking, fishing, crafting, a casino, and eight character slots. The Cfx thread backs parts of it with dated history, including a Diamond Casino with blackjack and a lucky wheel, and a prison overhaul that added a canteen, infirmary, boxing arena, cooking, and cigarettes as prison currency. Economy-focused is the fair label. Worth noting the 2020 thread marketed serious RP; the current pitch is explicitly casual. If you want hardcore, tightly-policed roleplay, this is not it, and it does not pretend to be.
/ Updated often, busiest at peak
Updates are versioned and frequent, and you can check that yourself: 4.21.1 landed within a day of writing, 4.21.0 a few days before, 4.20.0 on 5 July, 4.19.3 on 25 June. That is a real cadence rather than a marketing line. Population is more modest than the 750-slot cap suggests. We saw 123 online at the research snapshot and 53 on a later check, against a daily average of 186 and a peak of 425 reported by GTABoom, which also logged a 13.2% weekly drop. The Discord is genuinely big: Discord's own invite data returns 46,375 members, 4,839 online.
/ One honest caveat
No founding date. The Discord guild was created in May 2017 and the community's first Cfx thread is dated 25 November 2020, but neither of those is a founding date, and the store's claim of five years running does not reconcile with either. The line about being the UK's largest public RP server is the community's own marketing and we did not test it. We found no notable streamers tied to the server. And while LEO applicants must be 18 or over, we found no documented age requirement for ordinary public play, so check the Discord if that matters to you.

The verdict
Come here if you want to be in a city tonight without writing an essay first, or if you want to learn roleplay without a rules lawyer on your shoulder. Stay away if you want hardcore, heavily enforced serious RP, or a guaranteed full lobby at three in the morning. The badge is the real commitment: four weeks in before you can even apply.
